Chapter-31 Truth and Dare

Viransh’s POV

She’s fucking ignoring me.

And I hate it.

I tried to talk to her earlier, but I was hurt by her behavior… and guilty too. So I stayed away. I didn’t join the game because I knew if I did, she’d ignore me even more.

But hearing about her crush? Her ex?

Wow. Great.

I’m not possessive. I’m not insane. I’m not a psycho.

I just hate the idea of someone else loving her.

Why can’t I be the only one?

Even if I can’t have her… no one else should.

I smirked at my own thoughts. Pathetic.

Then I heard her voice. My light.

“Dhruv, I dare you to call Piya and say that you love your cousin.”

I looked at her instantly.

That cute smirk on her lips. She was taking revenge. And she looked dangerously adorable doing it.

Dhruv groaned. “Bhai ki jaan, meri jaan ke peeche kyun padi ho? I still need to convince her. Please change the dare.”

She crossed her arms. “Fine. Tell everyone about your first kiss.”

“I don’t know why,” I added lazily, enjoying the show.

Everyone supported me.

Diya already knew everything. That traitor.

Dhruv rolled his eyes. “It happened at a party.”

"Chal jhoothe!” Diya shouted. “He had his first kiss in a dreamy way, guys. He wanted to expose Piya’s fake best friend, so he acted like he liked her friend. And Piya being Piya ignored everything and just said, ‘How dare you touch my man?’”

Everyone burst out laughing.

“She even slapped him and her friend and left,” Diya continued dramatically. “But I saw them kissing in the rain. Piya pinned to the car and—”

“Shut up!” Dhruv cut her off. “You don’t need to tell all the details.”

She smirked. The others were howling.

Then the bottle stopped.

On me.

All my boys turned toward Diya.

She blinked innocently. “What? I don’t have anything to ask.”

Arnav grinned. “Bhai, are you single?”

Aarav leaned forward. “Bhaiya, are you a virgin?”

Dev asked calmly, “Did you have your first kiss?”

Dhruv smirked. “If yes… with whom?”

I answered in a short, cold tone. No emotions. No explanations.

“I don’t know if I’m single or not.”

“I’m a virgin.”

“I’ve had my first kiss.”

Silence.

“With Noor.”

They fake-gasped dramatically and looked at her.

She looked embarrassed. Cleared her throat. “Continue the game.”

Bad luck. The bottle landed on her.

For a second, she looked like she might cry.

If anyone makes her cry, I’ll kill them.

She straightened herself. “Dare.”

Aarav didn’t hesitate. “Sit on certain someone’s lap and kiss him.”

Her eyes widened.

She bit her lip. Refused to look at me.

I knew she was still hurt because of me. And I knew I wasn’t worthy of her.

“Aarav, shu—” I started.

“Sit properly, Mr. Rajvanshi,” she said suddenly.

I froze.

She walked toward me.

Cheeks flushed. Eyes determined.

And sat on my lap.

The noise faded. My brothers' loud voices, the clink of glasses – it all became a soft hum. I usually get lost in my family's chaos. But not now.

Diya’s lips, so soft, touched mine. The whole world stopped spinning for a moment.

I put my arm around her waist. I pulled her close, really close. My eyes closed. It felt so good, pure joy.

All my worries, all my doubts – they just went away. Only her lips mattered. They felt so gentle, so comforting. It was a soft kiss, a slow dance. I felt myself melt.

She was in my arms for the first time after the ignoring session. Her body felt warm, soft in my lap. But the kiss was everything. I was so lost in it.

She kept kissing me. Her fingers moved on my neck. I held her close. My brothers' loud world became a whisper.

Diya’s lips moved on mine. She let out a soft sigh. I tasted something sweet, like berries and mint. A shiver went through me.

Her tongue, just a little, touched mine. An electric shock went through my body.

I kissed her deeper, wanting more. She answered me, her body pressing closer. Her shirt felt silky against my hands.

But my mind was only on her mouth. The kiss grew stronger, more intense. Her nails lightly scratched behind my ear. It felt so good, I almost forgot to breathe.

I pulled back a little. Our lips parted, a tiny wet sound. Diya’s eyes opened slowly. They looked a little dazed. The lamplight shone in them.

Her cheeks turned pink. She looked so pretty.

we just looked at each other for a second. The world was still a bit fuzzy around the edges. Before I could even process it, Diya’s hands were on my neck again. She pulled me back, her lips meeting mine in a fierce, sudden press. A loud *HAHAHA!* erupted from the boys. "Oooooh!" they howled, their teasing merciless. But I was already gone, deep in her kiss again.

“Wow bhai, you’re quiet now,” Rudra’s voice cut through the room dramatically.

The boys burst out laughing and hooting.

She immediately pulled back, glaring at them while still sitting on my lap.

“Shut up,” she snapped, trying to sound annoyed but clearly flustered.

Aarav clutched his chest. “Arre wahhh, public display!”

Dhruv whistled. “Dare complete successfully.”

She tried to get up, but I didn’t let her immediately. My hand tightened slightly around her waist.

She looked at me.

For a second, it wasn’t teasing.

It wasn’t revenge.

It wasn’t a game.

It was just us.

Then she cleared her throat and pushed against my chest lightly.

“Game. Continue the game,” she said, avoiding my eyes.

But I could still feel the warmth of her lips on mine.

And I knew one thing for sure.

This wasn’t just a dare.

“Just… enjoying the quiet,” I replied to rudra . My voice came out deeper than usual, still rough from the kiss.

My thumb stroked her hip absentmindedly. I didn’t even realize I was doing it at first. I didn’t mean to. But once I felt her warmth under my hand, I couldn’t stop.

The noise of the room slowly started coming back. My brothers were probably still staring, probably still smirking. But everything looked blurred. None of their faces were clear to me.

Only her.

Only Diya.

Her breath was still uneven, mixing with mine. Her fingers were lightly gripping my shirt.

Then she did something unexpected.

She leaned into me.

Her head rested against my shoulder like it belonged there.

I inhaled slowly. Lavender. And something that was just her. Soft. Sweet. Addictive.

My arm tightened around her instinctively. Not too much. Just enough to keep her close.

I didn’t want to let go.

I didn’t want this moment to end.

For once, there was no teasing. No revenge. No audience. No game.

Just us.

And I wanted to keep this quiet… this closeness… for as long as I could.

And for the first time that night, I didn’t care who was watching.
Diya’s POV
I kissed him again because I could see it.
The hurt.
The guilt.
Right there in his blue orbs.

And suddenly, I felt bad. Maybe this much distance was enough. Maybe he had understood. Maybe I didn’t need to punish him anymore.

So I pulled his neck and kissed him again.

But the moment I did—
Reality hit me.

These six devils were still present.

Oh. My. God.
What have I done?

Now I was too embarrassed to even pull away properly. So instead, I did the only logical thing. I clutched Ansh like my life depended on it and buried my face into his chest.

I heard his faint chuckle above me.

He’s so shameless. Doesn’t even care.

And then the teasing started.

Aarav gasped dramatically. “Bhabhi, round two? We didn’t even ask for an encore!”

Dhruv clutched his chest. “Public romance? In this economy?”

Devank laughed. “Bhabhi, at least warn us. Some of us are single here.”

Rajveer grinned. “Arre bhabhi, we just asked for one kiss. You gave a full bonus package.”

Rudra leaned forward, pretending to wipe tears. “Bhabhi maa… you’ve grown up so fast.”

Arnav nodded seriously. “Yes, bhabhi maa. We are proud but also traumatized.”

I groaned and hid further into Ansh’s chest.

Aarav wasn’t done. “Bhabhi, the way you grabbed bhai’s neck? Confidence level 100.”

Dhruv added, “And the way bhai went quiet? Historic moment.”

Devank smirked. “First time I’ve seen him speechless.”

Rajveer teased, “Bhabhi, you said you were shy. This is your shy version?”

Rudra dramatically folded his hands. “Bhabhi maa, teach us also this boldness.”

Arnav nodded. “Yes, workshop when?”

“SHUT UP!” I finally yelled, face burning.

They only laughed louder.

I could feel Ansh’s chest vibrating slightly from his silent laughter. Traitor. Absolute traitor.

I tightened my grip on his shirt and hid completely in his arms.

“Save me,” I muttered under my breath.

Aarav pointed at us. “Look at her hiding!”

Dhruv smirked. “Bhabhi, you started this war.”

Rajveer chuckled. “And now you want protection from the same person.”

Rudra sighed dramatically. True love.”

Arnav added innocently, “Bhabhi maa is blushing.”

I refused to look up. If I did, I might actually die from embarrassment.

Ansh’s arm tightened around me protectively.

“Enough,” he said calmly, but there was a warning in his tone.

They immediately quieted down… still grinning.

And I stayed right where I was.
I was still hiding in his arms when Ansh spoke calmly, as if nothing chaotic had just happened.
“We need to attend a party. Mocktail event. Just some business talks. Will you guys join?”

Oh great. Public place. With these six clowns.

Aarav immediately straightened. “Business talk? At night? Mocktails? Suspicious.”

Dhruv gasped dramatically. “Bhabhi is coming, right? Because if she’s coming, we’re definitely coming.”

Devank adjusted his watch like some corporate uncle. “Of course, bhai. We must support business growth.”

Rajveer grinned. “And protect bhabhi from random businessmen.”

Rudra placed a hand on his chest. “Bhabhi maa can’t go alone. Emotional support team required.”

Arnav nodded seriously. “Yes, bhabhi maa might randomly start kissing again. We must supervise.”

I immediately looked up. “I will kill you.”

Aarav smirked. “See? Aggressive after romance.”

Dhruv added, “Bhai, control your wife. She’s threatening us.”

“I'm not hi—" I started, but Ansh’s arm tightened slightly around me.

Rajveer cut in dramatically, “Bhabhi is already sitting in his lap. Official confirmation ho chuka hai.”

Devank laughed. “At the party, should we announce their engagement too?”

Rudra pretended to make a toast. “Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Mr. and Mrs. Rajvanshi.”

Arnav added innocently, “Bhabhi maa, will you wear matching outfits?”

My face burned again. “Can you all shut up for five minutes?”

Dhruv leaned toward me. “Not possible. After that performance? Never.”

Aarav grinned. “At the party, if someone flirts with bhabhi, what will bhai do?”

Rudra answered before Ansh could. “He’ll break bones.”

Devank nodded thoughtfully. “Business talks with violence package.”

Rajveer laughed. “Mocktail party turning into WWE.”

I buried my face in Ansh’s chest again. “I’m not going.”

Ansh spoke calmly above me. “You’re coming.”

Aarav clapped. “Authority.”

Dhruv whispered loudly, “See how she melts?”

Arnav added, “Bhabhi maa blush count: unlimited.”

I hit Dhruv’s arm. “You are the worst.”

He grinned. “But you love us.”

I looked at all of them — six grown men acting like overdramatic aunties.

And even though they were teasing me in every single sentence…
I couldn’t stop smiling.
---------
Party outfit I chose the blue one.

The soft powder-blue shimmer hugged my curves perfectly. The ruched blouse rested delicately against my skin, accentuating my collarbones and the gentle slope of my shoulders. The wide-legged shimmer pants flowed like liquid silk with every step, catching the light in the most mesmerizing way. The sheer glittering cape draped behind me, making me feel like I carried stardust wherever I walked.

Against my warm brown skin, the blue looked almost magical. My skin had a golden undertone that glowed softly under the lights. I kept my makeup minimal — glossy nude lips, softly kohl-lined eyes, and a hint of shimmer on my lids. My hair fell in loose waves down my back.

It was our last night in Paris.

A mocktail party. “Just business talks,” Ansh had said.

As if the drama today wasn’t already enough.

I stepped out.

And then he looked at me.

Viransh Rajvanshi.

His blue eyes darkened the second they met mine. He didn’t blink. Didn’t breathe.

He walked toward me slowly, gaze unapologetically roaming over me before returning to my eyes.

“You look…” his jaw tightened slightly, “…dangerous.”

My heart skipped.

“And if anyone stares at you for more than three seconds,” he added softly, leaning closer, “they’re losing their eyesight.”

Heat rushed to my cheeks.

And right on cue—

The devils entered.

“Oh hooooo!” Aarav whistled.

“Bhabhi is glowing differently today,” Rajveer smirked.

“Blue is not the color,” Devank added dramatically. “It’s the ‘post-kiss glow.’”

I froze.

Dhruv gasped loudly. “Correction — post two kisses glow.”

Rudra folded his arms. “Bhabhi maa is setting bold standards.”

Arnav shook his head in fake disappointment. “Public display of affection in front of six innocent men.”

“Innocent?” I snapped. “You six are the definition of chaos.”

“Chaos that witnessed history,” Dhruv replied proudly.

I wanted to disappear.

Viransh slid his arm around my waist, pulling me closer. “Keep teasing. I dare you.”

“Ohooo, protective mode activated,” Aarav laughed.

“Careful bhai,” Rajveer grinned. “She might pull you for round three.”

I buried my face in Viransh’s chest. I could feel him chuckling.

Shameless man.

As if the universe wasn’t done humiliating me, my phone rang.
I saw a call from my bestfriends gang. I said, “Guys, I’m busy, I’ll call lat—” I had barely ended my sentence when Dhruv snatched my phone.

“Wait,” he said, grinning mischievously. “Small screen isn’t enough for this level of drama.”

Before I could protest, he connected my phone to the massive TV in the living room.

The next second, my entire friend group appeared on the large screen.

“Ohhhh,” Aarav leaned back. “Full video conference.”

“You traitor!” I whispered to Dhruv.

He winked. “Best friend duties.”

Because yes — Dhruv wasn’t just Viransh’s brother.
He was their Dhruv too.

The screen cleared.

And then everyone froze.

Because the first thing they noticed wasn’t my blush.

It was our outfits.

“Wait…” Ruhi squinted. “Are you three matching?”

The camera shifted slightly and I realized Arya and Ananta were standing side by side.

And that’s when it hit everyone.

We were.

Same pattern. Same shimmer. Same style.

Just different colors.

Arya was wearing the peach one.

The soft peach shimmer wrapped around her toned frame perfectly. The ruched blouse accentuated her strong shoulders, and the wide-legged pants flowed dramatically when she moved. Her skin — deep warm brown — glowed against the peach shade, making her look fierce and radiant. Her hair was tied in a high ponytail, slightly messy from the biking race she had just finished. There was still adrenaline in her eyes.

“I just won second place,” she said casually. “And now I’m heading to a party. So yes, I look hot.”

“You always look like you’re about to fight someone,” Dhruv said proudly.

“Shut up.”

Next to her stood Ananta.

Calm. Composed. Ethereal.

She wore the white shimmer shade.

The fabric looked like moonlight wrapped around her. The ruched blouse sat delicately over her soft curves, and the high-waisted flowing pants gave her a graceful silhouette. The sheer glittering cape added elegance, catching light with every subtle movement. Against her rich brown skin, the white shimmer made her glow almost angelically.

“I had a department event,” she said softly. “It turned into a party.”

Devank leaned forward. “Why do all three of you look like you planned a photoshoot?”

“We didn’t,” I muttered.

“Lies,” Ruhi said dramatically.

And then—

Piya appeared more clearly on screen.

Soft brown skin. Gentle eyes. Simple outfit. Calm as always.

Dhruv’s entire expression changed.

“Butterfly,” he said unconsciously.

She ignored him.

Completely.

Not even a glance.

Aarav burst out laughing. “Ooooo rejected.”

Dhruv straightened. “Excuse me? She’s just shy.”

Piya continued talking to me as if he didn’t exist. “Diya, how was your day?”

“Traumatic,” I muttered.

“Oh yes,” Dhruv interrupted dramatically. “Allow me to narrate.”

He grabbed the remote like it was a microphone.

“Scene one,” he began in a dreamy tone. “Paris evening. Soft lights. Romantic tension in the air.”

“Dhruv—” I warned.

“Viransh bhai standing there. Blue eyes intense. Diya blushing. And then…”

He placed his hand over his heart.

“She pulls him by the collar.”

“I did NOT pull him like that!”

“And kisses him.”

Shreya screamed.

Ruhi covered her mouth.

Arya leaned forward aggressively. “In front of everyone?”

Dhruv nodded slowly.

“Not once,” he continued dramatically, lowering his voice. “But twice.”

The boys behind him clapped sarcastically.

“She forgot the world existed,” Dhruv said dreamily. “And then she held him like he was oxygen.”

I wanted to evaporate.

Ananta raised one eyebrow. “Is this true?”

Before I could answer—

Viransh stepped forward and wrapped his arm around my waist again.

“Yes.”

Silence.

“WE KNEW IT!” Shreya yelled.

“Relationship confirmed?” Ruhi demanded.

“Yes,” Viransh replied calmly.

Piya finally looked at Dhruv.

He smiled softly at her.

She looked away again.

Ignored.

Completely.

Dhruv’s shoulders dropped slightly.

“Butterfly…” he tried again, softer this time.

She muted herself.

The entire room burst into laughter.

Aarav patted Dhruv’s back. “Bro got humbled on 4K screen.”

Arya smirked. “Control your best friend first, Diya.”

“He’s your best friend too!” I shot back.

Laya had been quiet this entire time.

Then she spoke.

“You look happy, Diya.”

My heart clenched.

“I am,” I said honestly.

Her small smile didn’t reach her eyes.

The distance between us felt louder than the teasing.

After ten more minutes of chaos, threats, and “full story later,” the call ended.

The TV went black.

Dhruv sighed dramatically. “My Butterfly ignored me.”

“You deserved it,” Piya’s voice echoed faintly before the disconnect.

Everyone laughed again.

I leaned slightly into Viransh’s side.

And for a moment, despite the teasing, the chaos, the unspoken tensions—
It felt like home.

Viransh’s POV

As we reached the venue, all the males activated their protective side. Maybe I never told this, but my brothers are much more possessive than me in case of Diya. The day when I told Diya to stay away from our family matters—or exactly when I said, “Miss Kasani, it’s family”—they never spoke to me. They wanted me to apologize for it, and I’ll definitely do it before going to India.

And now they surrounded Noor like a shadow and took her inside. They were teasing her so much today, but they’ll kill each and every soul if needed.

And about my angel—she’s blushing so hard from the evening. I want to kiss her again. She’s intoxicating. I’ll die without her. And after having her taste, it’s impossible to have control now… but I know how to control myself.

And now, at present, she was hitting Aarav. Of course, that idiot was troubling her too much. I smiled, and then I heard—

“Hello, Vir.”

It was Leah. She was the wife of a foreign businessman who was twice her age, and she was younger than me. She married him for his money, and everyone knows it.

She came to me and said, “Let’s date.”

I was stunned. “WTF? What do you mean, Mrs. Brown?” I asked.

She said, “Oh God, Vir, I’m tired of his old— dick I want something new and fresh, so I want you.”

She was so bitchy. I don’t speak shit about women, but I hate her to my core.

And just then Noor came.

“Sir, Aarav sir asked you—shall we leave, or do you have any more business talks?”

And that “sir” was not the same “sir” which she calls me. It was blank—like she was very, very hurt. There were no emotions.

And I knew I’m doomed.

Why God, why? One problem is not sorted, I didn’t even apologize for one mistake, and I’ve already made two more.

And then again she asked—

“Sir.”

Before I could reply, Mrs. Brown spoke—

“It’s okay, Miss PA. He’ll be staying at my place today. You can leave.”

And she held my arm.

And just then Devank came, took Diya’s hand, and dragged her away in anger.

What the hell?

My own best friend misunderstood me?

And they disappeared.

---

Diya’s POV

I was sitting in the car, and all of them looked tense. I didn’t want to change or spoil anyone’s mood, so I said,

“Guys, let’s go and eat waffles. It’s my favorite. What say?”

And Aarav spoke in anger—

“Bhabhi, I’m really hurt with bhai’s behavior, and you’re behaving so calm.”

I told the driver to stop at a waffle spot. Then we all got down.

Then I told Aarav, “Bacha, it’s okay. Don’t overthink. You calm down first.”

I brushed his hair, and he calmed in my touch.

Then I told Dhruv, “Nuvvu kuda gummuna undu.”

(You also stay quiet/calm)

He sighed. He was still frustrated, so I hugged him, and he calmed down.

I spoke while holding Dev bhaiyya’s hand, “Bhaiyya, calm down. It’s okay.”

“Raj bhai, you are a calm human being—be calm.”

“Rudra, don’t become aggressive, bacha.”

I brushed his hair and side-hugged him.

Then I went to Arnav. I know he’s calm, but I could see the tsunami coming from his calm. I assured him with my eyes.

I was sitting on a bench, and then I got a double chocolate waffle, which I love. I was eating it when suddenly—

Rudra dropped to his knees and said,

“I’m sorry, bhabhi maa. Our bhai hurt you many times.”

He held my legs, and instinctively I stood up.

Then Arnav also spoke in the same tone—

I said in a stern tone, “Both of you stand up right now.”

But they didn’t.

So I used emotional blackmail—I know it. I flipped my hair mentally and said,

“If you consider me your maa, then stand up.”

And they stood up immediately.

Author’s POV

“Now be calm, baccho. Don’t worry. I’m okay, okay? Fine… let’s go to a movie, okay?”

They were stunned at her reply.

She suggested a movie.

And they chuckled, eventually giving in as they left for their place. There was a private theater, and Dhruv played a movie.

Everyone thought Diya was hurt.

She was hurt… but not in a way that would hurt her mardis

(devars / husbands’ brothers).

Yes, she accepted them all.

But the thing was—none of them had any females in their lives other than their mothers. And then Diya came into their lives.

They treated her as something precious.

The love she had always craved—she was now receiving it in multiple forms.

And the men… they had their insecurities.

They were scared to lose the one woman who meant everything to all of them.

And when…

Men like them fall in love?

They don’t just love… they obsess, protect, and destroy anything that dares to hurt their woman.

The chaos turns into devotion.

The jokes turn into promises.

The madness? It stays—but now it has a reason.

And the scariest part?

The day their women cry…

that’s the day the world around them won’t stay the same anymore.
Diya's POV

The morning sun rose. Today was one of our last two days in Paris-it had been extended because of the kidnapping incident. After everything that happened last night, everyone was very upset. I suggested we watch a movie, and after that, everyone went to sleep.

But I couldn't sleep.

So I did my favorite thing-I started dancing.

The soft morning light streamed in through the glass balcony doors. The rising sun cast a warm glow across the room. No one was awake; everyone was still sleeping after the uneasy night.

I began dancing slowly, letting the silence calm me.

And then... I felt his gaze on me.

But I closed my eyes and continued.
